Social entrepreneur with business experience from six countries on four continents. Christer is the initiator and custodian of this project, having planted his first 6000 trees on an organic coffee farm in Brazil in 2009, and initiated several social-environmental projects in Sweden, Brazil, and now in Spain. Christer brings his experience and passion for the earth and its communities to this project to develop a working model that regenerates the soil and restores the air we breathe on our fragile and most beautiful planet.

Astrid has lived and worked in different countries, cultures, and languages while pursuing a career in Academia specifically in the field of Art History and Education. A few years into her professional life, she became involved in management, working with labour unions, then in the cultural domain, as an art historian, artist, writer, and teacher. Astrid is also a skilled negotiator, working with the government and the institutional world.
Helping to manage Circle Carbon in the current local and global climate requires both a strategic and creative attitude to deal with challenges while focusing on performance and results.
Astrid believes that creative adaptation combined with business ethics and discernment can lead us to new solutions in sustainability, resilience and healthy vibrant communities.

Swiss experienced entrepreneur and business coach/mentor, currently living in Palma de Mallorca and Florida, USA. During his professional career he has been involved both in commercial enterprises and not-for-profit projects. He believes that we must find ways to bridge the gap between bottom line only thinking and a more circular economy. Urs is our first custodian investor in the project and is contributing his wisdom and experience to help realise the infinite potential available when a few good people come together for the common good in the ritual of life and celebration of community.
Charmaster
When it comes to building and regenerating soil, Eddie has over ten years of practical experience in the field. After obtaining his PDC, whole systems thinking set him out on the path of working with soil amendments such as compost, vermicompost, and biochar, while designing and implementing various demo sites. As part of his collaboration with a Permaculture-based analogue forestry project he deepened his knowledge by applying biochar under the root system in dry climates, as well as spending over nine years working in small and medium sized gardens making biochar and successfully finding new ways of using it for enhanced water retention and soil regeneration.
Eddie is now responsible for running the Biochar and Compost Department at Circle Carbon Labs. We like to think of him as our “Charmaster”.

Ambassador
Kerstin who is Swedish by birth lived on Mallorca for 35 years before moving to Portugal in 2021. She is a writer and painter with an academic background and was co-founder of Mallorca’s green movement “Mallorca Goes Green” as well as spending a decade on Stockholm’s City Council in the 1970s.
While on Mallorca she ran an organic farm and fruit orchard based on regenerative principles using biochar and her own compost. The farm also served as a retreat and healing center for many years.
She is a firm believer that the overuse of synthetic fertilizers in the farming industry is one of our biggest environmental problems and as such is an avid supporter of Circle Carbon’s work in the world.
